The artist Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta, architect, writer, photographer and composer, considered the conceptual son of John Cage, the most emblematic composer of the twentieth century, after having gone through several countries around the world with various kinds of exhibitions, closes - in March 8, at the magnificent Norman-Hohenstaufen (Swabian) castle of Bari - the centennial celebrations of the great American genius, with a masterful exhibition-event titled Emanuel Pimenta for John Cage, concluding a tribute started in New York City on March 12, 2012. The exhibition is unique in historical terms. Pimenta presents unpublished works, video, music, historical documents and images, unique and rare, which reveals the private and work life of John Cage in his famous loft in New York City: a virtual theater, a place of silence and listening. Refuge of a creative, spiritual and human, universe. Outside the Norman Castle the exhibition is supported by the creativity of the artist Pimenta through his compositions accompanied by surreal visions that transform the habitat, while inside the castle the public witness the meeting between two men, Pimenta and Cage, who, despite generational and environmental differences, are linked by a common destiny that escapes from individual wills and touches the inevitability of the magic of music. The exhibition also includes a film by the Brazilian artist Regina Vater, with a historic interview with Cage.

The Lecture titled John Cage: Listening to the Silence, will happen in the Auditorium of the Norman Castle at 21:00. The lecturers are Pilar Parcerisas, Emanuel Pimenta and Lucrezia De Domizio Durini, who, in their processes of work have lived, with different approaches, the seductive trip of the interrelationship between the Great Master and the Mediterranean Composer, as Cage liked to call his friend Pimenta.
