Brief step by step instructions (veja abaixo para Português)
1- Go to the webpage www.secondlife.com
2- Choose your language in the upper left corner. In this case
it will be Portuguese.
3- Hover the mouse over "Help" and select "System
Requirements".
4- Certify yourself that your computer configuration related to
the graphics card and internet connection are compatible with
the system requirements. I the icon "My Computer" if
you are using Windows XP, click with the right mouse button and
select "System Properties" to see your system configuration.
Second Life requires a computer with medium-high potency configuration,
and will not work on computers with basic configurations. It also
requires a fast connection with internet and a good video graphics
card listed in the webpage "System Requirements". Your
computer MUST fulfill these requirements; or else you will not
be able to enjoy Second Life.
5- If your computer fulfills the system
requirements, click the orange button (Join Now) to register yourself.
6- Fill in all required information about yourself and scroll
down to the middle of the page.
7- Here you will create your first avatar. Write your avatar´s
First name and click "Find Last Names". You should choose
one among various options of available last names.
8- Create a password and rewrite it down to confirm.
9- This is the first avatar I created for myself, you must choose
yours appropriate to your taste and needs. It will be possible
to modify it later.
10- Scroll down at the same page and fill in the last details
to complete your register process.
11- Select any question on the list that you will be able to answer
in order to remember your password. Write down something that
makes you remember your password. Never write the password itself.
12- Write the wordsof the image to confirm your registry and click
on "Create Account". If you have some incorrect information
or forgot to fill in something you must correct and fill it in
and resend your informations by clicking angain on "Create
Account".
13- A Screen like this (in your language) will show up, informing
that a confirmation e-mail was sentto your mailbox. You must reach
your e-mail and open it with the created avatar´s name to
activate your account. Inside this e-mail there will be a link
that must be accessed to process the confirmation of your account.
14- After that you must download the Second Life software and
install it to your computer, so you can log in this virtual world.
Access again www.secondlife.com and choose again your language
(in this case Portuguese).
15-In the lower right corner you may download the Second Life
client (Download Second Life).
16- Here you will be able to download the newest Second Life viewer.
(The new version is number 2). Click on the big orange button
and save it to your computer and after that open the software
installer that you just saved on the chosen folder and install
it. Now you are ready to enjoy your Second Life!
Breves instruções passo a passo
1- Fazer um cadastro no site do second Life
em: www.secondlife.com
2- Escolha sua língua no canto superior esquerdo. No meu
caso será Português.
3- Passe o mouse sobre a ajuda e selecione requisitos do sistema.
4- Certifique-se de que as configurações do seu
computador com relação à placa de vídeo
e conexão com a internet são compatíveis
com os requerimentos do sistema. No ícone "Meu computador"
se estiver usando Windows XP, clique com o botão direito
do Mouse e selecione propriedades do sistema para ver a sua configuração
de sistema. O Second Life requer um computador com uma configuração
e potência médias, não funcionando em computadores
com configurações básicas. Requer uma conexão
rápida com a internet e uma boa placa de vídeo listados
na página requisitos do sistema. Seu computador deve atender
a estes REQUISITOS; caso contrário, você não
poderá participar do Second Life com êxito.
5- Se o seu computador atende aos requisitos
do sistema, então, clique no botão Laranja, (Junte-se
a nós) para fazer o cadastro.
6- Preencha todas as informações solicitadas nos
campos e desça para o meio da página.
7- Aqui você vai criar o seu avatar inicial. Escreva o primeiro
nome do seu avatar e clique em "encontrar um sobrenome".
Você deverá escolher um dentre as várias opções
de sobrenomes dispoíveis.
8- Crie uma senha e digite-a novamente para confirmar.
9- Este é o avatar que eu criei para mim inicialmente.
Escolha o seu apropriado ao seu gosto. Será possível
modificá-lo posteriormente.
10- Desça a barra de rolagem da mesma página e preencha
os últimos detalhes para fazer o seu cadastro.
11- Selecione qualquer pergunta da lista, que vc seja sempre capaz
de responder para lembrar da sua senha. Abaixo escreva algo que
faça você lembrar da sua senha, nunca escreva a própria
senha.
12- Escreva as palavras da imagem para confirmar o seu cadastro
e clique em Criar Conta. Se tiver alguma informação
incorreta ou não preenchida vc deve corrigir e reenviar
clicando novamente no botão laranja: Criar Conta.
13- Vai aparecer uma tela como esta informando que foi enviado
um e-mail de confirmação para o seu e-mail. VocÊ
deve abrir a sua caixa de e-mail e abrir o e-mail enviado com
o nome do seu avatar criado, para ativar a sua conta. Dentro deste
e-mai tem um link que deverá ser clicado para confirmação
do seu cadastro.
14- Depois disto, você deve baixar o programa Second Life
e instalá-lo no seu computador para poder entrar neste
mundo virtual. Entre novamente em www.secondlife.com e esolha
novamente a sua lingua (no caso português)
15- No canto inferior direito você poderá baixar
o cliente ou programa do Second Life clicando no link "Baixar
o Second Life".
16- Aqui você poderá baixar o mais novo Visualizador
do Second Life. (a versão atual é a 2). Clique no
botão laranja e salve o arquivo no seu computador e após
isto, abra o instalador que você acabou de salvar no local
escolhido e instale-o. Você está pronto para desfrutar
do Second Life!
