Floating Cultural Center for Lake Maggiore, Switzerland, 2004. The region covered by Lake Maggiore has knew a population spread out in small villages since the medieval times. In its set there is enough density and real need for a contemporary center oriented to creativity and culture. But, as the population is distributed along a very large area it was never possible to create one. Invited by Roy Ascott in 2004 for the Technoetic Arts: A Journal of Speculative Research, Emanuel Pimenta elaborated a project for a floating cultural center in which was predicted the use of new materials based on nanotechnology research.
