Ideas are one thing and what happens is another John Cage

Why, after nearly two hundred thousand years of evolution, humans are still killing each other? Why there are still wars? Why there are still murders as disseminated disease on the planet? Why do governments still set war as true industries? How can war still be acceptable? IYOBH is a brief non-verbal reflection on this perplexity. The sounds of the concert were captured in radio, appropriated and transformed. All images were found on the Internet under the name "war", they were appropriated and then digitally transformed. In the result, there is something that we call "beauty". But this "beauty" is terribly shocking, as a new perplexity. Why people continue so distracted and alienated in front a such terrible reality?

IYOBH is a movie and a musical concert, with their world premiere happening within the ambit of the telematic arts project UBICITY. IYOBH is to be freely appropriated and transformed. Since its origin, IYOBH is a work of appropriation and transformation. Transmitting in real time and integrating the whole planet, UBICITY was initiated by COLABOR, a Research Center for Digital Languages, associated with the Interfaculty Graduate Program in Aesthetics and Art History [PGEHA] at the USP University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, coordinated by the intermedia artist and Professor Artur Matuck.
